Bruce set to Frustrate Frank: Newcastle vs Chelsea (21/11/2020)

Onside View’s resident football tipster, James Robinson, takes a look at the best value odds for Saturday’s early kick-off at St James’ Park.
Chelsea have failed to score away on only 3 occasions since the 18th January 2020, when, coincidentally, they lost to Newcastle via a 94th minute Issac Hayden header.
Nearly a year — and a global pandemic — later, Chelsea are back to face Newcastle, having splurged more than £200 million on seemingly one top player in Ziyech. Newcastle on the other hand have spent wisely, investing in an upgrade to Joelinton at striker.
Since Lampard took over, 1st half goals have been commonplace, but Saturday lunchtime kick-offs are often an anti-climax (like most nights for my wife!). And with Chelsea losing 5 out of their last 7 at St James’ Park, I’m not anticipating Lampard’s new-look outfit to buck the trend. Therefore, the draw at halftime with 32Red @29/20 is great value.
Whatever the score at the break, it’s hard not to see Chelsea dominating second half possession and creating plenty of chances. Their superior bench will come in handy, too.
My solid single for this game is most goals in the 2nd half, and William Hill are offering one of the best prices @EVS.
Newcastle’s only real chance is if they can keep it tight until late in the game. Nerves might creep into Chelsea’s play, as the prospect of points dropped could see them begin to lose faint hopes of a title push. Plus, you can never rule out another late winner from the Toon.
Coral has time of 1st home team goal (81 – Full Time) @14/1 — if you fancy an outside bet.
